This museum invites you to get a close look at the intriguing life of Dr Fazıl Küçük, a life dedicated to the rights of the Turkish Cypriot people. Dr Fazıl Küçük started his career as a doctor after studying in Turkey and Switzerland but was throughout his life involved in the cause of Turkish Cypriot rights. In 1959, he became the first Vice President of Cyprus as the agreement was to have a Greek Cypriot President and a Turkish Cypriot Vice President. Stepping into the museum is truly like stepping into the world of Dr Fazıl Küçük as it is held in his old home. Here you can explore the marvellous story of his life in text and pictures and truly get to know the life of the man who was so passionate about the rights of the Turkish Cypriot people. Many of his possessions and furniture are still around and on display. The museum is open from 8 to 15.30 Monday to Friday, except Thursday when the opening hours are 8 to 13 and 13 to 14 during summer and 8 to 13 and 14 to 17 during winter. On weekends the museum is closed.
