Lapta coastal walk is a beautiful six kilometre stretch along the coast between Lapta and Karsiyaka. The project, an initiative by the Mayor of Lapta, began in 2012 and was partially opened in 2013. The second phase was completed in 2018. The walkway is great for casual strolling, as well as exercise. Runners, walkers and cyclists are often spotted here enjoying the views. The pathway is also wheelchair accessible and mainly leveled, affording easy disposal for wheelchair users. The path meanders along the coast, giving uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean and includes walkways over the sea at three bays where you can see the waves crashing below your feet. The stretch begins some 200 metres before Silver Rocks restaurant and finishes above Sardunya Bay, a sandy cove ideal for a swim or a nice relaxing drink in the beach bar. Some of the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises can be seen from the coastal path due to the undisturbed views. It is a relaxing place to sit, walk or enjoy a coffee.
